We are a friendly community preschool based in the centre of Hilmarton village, 2 miles outside Calne.

Hilmarton Preschool began as a playgroup over 30 years ago to provide early years care and education to the local village and surrounding areas. Our experienced staff have a wealth of knowledge and practical skills in working with under fives.

In 2009 the preschool moved to a new site on the grounds of Hilmarton primary school. The new building offers excellent facilities for both indoor and outdoor play.

We practice the principles of The Early Years Foundation Stage in a safe and happy environment. This framework is designed to help young children achieve ‘A secure safe and happy childhood’ & that ‘ Provides the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up’ (DfES, 2008, Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage).

We welcome all 2 to 5 year olds from the local area.

We have ties to Hilmarton Primary School and hope our preschool will help prepare your child for success at this or any other school.

Hilmarton Preschool is a registered charity, and is run by a voluntary parent committee.

Child protection and safeguarding are subjects we take very seriously.

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre is the national centre for protecting children and young people and they offer instant free advice and guidance on a range of issues and gives the direct numbers to report an incident or concern.
